St. Vitus Cathedral is the main Czech Church. It was founded in 1344 by John of Luxembourg and his sons Charles and John Henry. The church was constructed from 1344 till 1929, mostly Gothic and neo-Gothic styles.
As well as being the largest and most important church in Prague, St. Vitus Cathedral also oversaw the coronations of Czech kings and queens.
In the chancel of the cathedral, in front of the high alter, is the royal mausoleum. Below this, in the crypt, there are the royal tombs where Czech kings and queens and patron saints are interred.
This window was designed by Alfons Mucha.
