This is Charles Cardale Babington's book about the Old Chapel. He wrote it when the Old Chapel was being taken down to make room for a New Chapel. The photographs in the book show the Old Chapel being demolished.

The New Chapel was built in 1866-9 to make room for all the new students who wanted to come the College. At that time going to services was still compulsory.

The Old Chapel was built in the 1200s. It was part of a monastry which once stood on the site of the College.
