A plant with bright yellow flowers (5-7cm across) and with thick leaves; the lower ones with long petiole; the upper ones unstalked. The flowers are succeeded by long narrow seed pods. It has orange foul smelling sap and grows on the coast preferring shingle beaches. All parts of it are poisonous and if eaten can affect the brain. Picture taken at Salthouse, Norfolk 21st September 2010.
