A permanent exhibition now stands near the junction of Wilhelmstrasse and Niederkirchnerstrasse which details the rise to power of the Hitler and the Nazi party, how life was under the regime, the persecution of the jews and dissenters and the course of the war.
The exhibition istelf stands in the shadow of what was the Luftwaffe building and on the site of what was the Gestapo Headquarters.
