A fairly common species which can be found across England, Wales and the south of Scotland. The males have long, whitish antennae, the females shorter, both sexes having bronzy or metallic greenish forewings. The moths fly in the daytime during May �July, sometimes occurring in swarms. The caterpillar lives in a portable case and feeds on leaf-litter. Picture taken at Sewell, Bedfordshire 14th July 2011.
