This spider lives in bushes and other vegetation. The female (5-6.6mm) is slightly bigger than the male Female (4-6.6mm). It has a yellow-brown cephalothorax with dark brown markings, and brown abdomen with white zigzag marks. The Male is similar to female but with a paler abdomen, and cream zig-zags along the sides. It lacks the white zig-zags. Its web is a suspended sheet of silk. Sometimes the Sheet Web Spider will invade other spiders webs and drive the host out, or eat them. Its main diet is insects.
