A very common damselfly. The males when mature have a metallic blue-green body with a broad back band across the wings. Females have a bright metallic green/gold body and a tiny white spot towards the tip of each wing. They can be found on vegetation near rivers. Picture taken at Bromham Mill on 27th of May 2012.
