A Calendar of Prisoners for trial at the Assizes to be holden at Huntingdon on Tuesday the 25th day of July 1871. The Assizes were responsible for the most serious cases including murder. There was always two Judges.
In this instance the Judges are: The Right Honourable Sir Alexander James Edmund Cockburn, Baronet Chief Justice of our Lady the Queen, assigned to hold pleas before the Queen herself; and The Honourable Sir John Barnard Byles, Knight One of the Justices of our Lady the Queen of Her Court of Common Pleas.
