Typical Egyptian Grave (Predynastic) about 3400BC. Grave has been reconstructed using authentic items found in many graves of the period in Southern Egypt. The remarkable preservation of the body is due to rapid drying through direct contact with the desert sand. Picture taken at the British Museum, London January 2007.
