A conspicuous striped, red and sand-coloured stone facade the No. One Poultry building is hard to miss. Situated in the City of London.
it was designed by James Stirling (1929-95) and completed, after 20 years of protracted discussion, in 1998 on a prime site pointing towards Bank. Opinion is divided on its architectural merits of Number One Poultry, but it has become a city landmark. Picture taken at the 'sharp end'. 31st July 2007.
