Mansion House is a grand Georgian town palace in London, with elaborate and ornate interiors. It was the purpose-built home of the Lord Mayor of the City of London, built to provide living and working space including room for large ceremonial entertainments and banquets. The first stone was laid until 1739 after much discussion over the selection of the site, the design and the architect in the then fashionable Palladian style. It was completed by 1752. Picture taken 31st July 2007.
