The Temple church in London, just off Fleet Street. The church has become more famous in recent years as it forms one of the settings for Dan Brown's novel 'The Da Vinci Code'.
This church is the place of worship of Inner and Middle Temple, two of England’s four ancient societies of lawyers, the Inns of Court. The Church was built by the Knights Templar, the order of crusading monks founded to protect pilgrims on their way to and from Jerusalem in the 12th century.
