The Old Bailey, properly called the Justice House or Sessions House, stands just off Newgate Street and next to the former site of Newgate Prison. The Old Bailey was located about 200 yards from St Paul's Cathedral, just outside the wall of the City of London. It is also known as the Central Criminal Court.
