Wellington College was founded by Queen Victoria and Prime Minister The Earl of Derby in 1859 as the national monument to Britain's greatest military figure, the Duke of Wellington, who also served the country twice as Prime Minister.
It is now a co-educational boarding and day school and is situated about 35 miles south-west of London.
