This Bible was printed in Cambridge, Massachusetts by Samuel Green in 1685. It was originally published in 1663. This edition has been translated into a local Algonquian language by John Eliot. John Eliot became known as the 'Indian Apostle' because he preached to the native Americans in their own language.
