The building of Second Court was started in 1598.

The first floor of the north side of this court (on the right of this picture) houses the 'Combination Room'. This is where the Fellows of the College meet. It is usually only lit by candlelight. During the Second World War it was used for a conference at which part of the D-Day landings were planned.
