The boxes you can see on the shelves on the left are full of personal papers given to the Library by people connected to the College. They can be anything, letters, diaries, notebooks. A lot of them are written by famous people like Thomas Clarkson, who campaigned against the slave trade, Cecil Beaton, a photographer or Fred Hoyle, an astronomer.
