Tudor spoons were made of wood, silver or pewter. Some spoons bore the initials or crests of their owners, others were simpler.

Silver spoons were generally much sought after as a sign of wealth, and whatever was popular in silver was soon copied in pewter.

Knives were also used for eating, but forks did not become popular until the very end of the Tudor period.
