This vase draws inspiration from Italian, French and Belgium (Flanders) sources. It imitates majolica ware and is painted with scenes of a boar hunt based on prints of the artist Peter Paul Rubens. The mythical figures such as Prometheus on the lid are based on 16th century Italian models from Florance. The vase can be seen in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
