This chest of drawers known as a commode was made by Pierre Langlois a cabinet maker of French descent who worked in London between 1756 and 1767 was is Parisian in technique and design. This example shows coloured floral marquetry, gilt-bronze mounts and curved surfaces. It is made of Rosewood with guilt bronze mounts and marble slab.
