The "Beatrice Maud" docked at Morwellham, River Tamar, near Tavistock, Devon. Morwellham Quay is sited at the highest navigable point on the river and for over 1000 years was an important port for shipping silver, tin, copper and other minerals. The current museum and visitor centre are based around this historic port.
