This house in Banham, Norfolk, is set out as a house would have been in the 1940's.

People tended to be much more patriotic in those days, particularly during the war when the country faced such severe dangers. The Royal Family was very popular, and crockery commemorating the coronation of King George VI in 1937 were very common.
