This jar is at a house in Banham, Norfolk, which is set out as it would have been in the 1940's. The label on the jar shows that it was originally used to store implements known as pastry cutters. These implements were in fact used to pick up, turn and shape the doe, as well as to divide the doe into portions. They were also used to clean the surfaces upon which the doe had been worked.
