Roman lady's hair pins

Two hair pins carved out of animal bone. This was a good example of Roman recycling. Roman ladies would go to a lot of trouble to look attractive and had collections of make up and perfume, kept in small bottles. A selection of these can be seen at Chelmsford Museum.
