Soft hairy herb with a much branched reddish stem. The flowers form clusters at the base of each leaf-stalk. Three or more flowers form a cluster, the female towards the centre. It was once used mixed with honey to cure a multitude of illnesses. It can be found growing out of cracks and crevices in walls but can also be found amongst rocks, cliffs and on dry soils near hedgerows. Picture taken 4th June 2006 at Elstow, Bedfordshire.
