Paul Turquand was born in Poitiers 14 Dec 1667. He married Madelaine Martineau and they had 4 sons. Following the Revocation of the Edict of Nantes in 1685, French Protestants or Huguenots were persecuted - imprisoned, tortured and killed. This is the story of the Turquands' escape separately from France to England, leaving their children behind and of their reunion years later.
