This is page 5 in which John Wittewronge tells of his father Jacob's marriage to his first wife Susanna, daughter of Bernard Tielman, a wealthy German. The marriage brought Jacob much wealth including land and a house in Walthamstow, Essex. Jacob went into partnership with Matthias Otton, a brewer and two of Jacob's daughters married Matthias Otton's sons. Having bought up a lot of land in London, Jacob went onto build his own brewhouse and mansion. After Susanna's death, he married for a second time, to Anna Van Acker in 1614, who became John Wittewronge's mother.
