The Marconi TAC (Transistorised Automatic Computer) was designed in the 1950's principally for use in radar signal processing. This machine (one of only seven) was installed in 1961 and used to control and monitor a nuclear power station until 2004. It used paper tape for programme loading. It has 4096 words of memory each word being 20 bits long.
