Y Stations were rooms equipped with receiving radios. They listened to Morse Code transmissions from all over the world. The messages Y stations intercepted were sent to Bletchley Park, where they were decoded. There was a global network of Y stations, with Bletchley park at its heart. Personnel from the Royal Navy, Army, Royal Air Force, Police and Foreign Office staffed the Y stations.
