Edith Birkin
b. 1927 in Prague
lives in Hereford

Birkin spent the war years in the Lodz Ghetto, Auschwitz and Belsen. She came to England in 1946. She began to study History of Art and Art in the 1970s with the desire to record her wartime experiences on canvas. Here work was included in the Anne Frank exhibition in Manchester in 1987.
