A Sea Potato urchin (also known as a Heart urchin (Echinocardium cordatum)). When living, it is covered in a dense felt of yellow-brown spines; its shell - called a 'test' - is extremely fragile. It lives 2-7 cm below the surface on sheltered, sandy shores.
