Baron Grenville

William Wyndham Grenville, 1st Baron Grenville, was Prime Minister at the time the 1807 act to abolish the slave trade was passed. He championed the law abolishing the slave trade, in a hostile House of Lords in 1807. Added: 23rd Nov 2007 by Diane Earl
