During WW2 food was scarce and rationing was in place. There were lots of receipes based around the use of fruit and vegetables which could be grown at home, as part of the Dig for Victory campaign.

Special Constable's Helmet from WW2. Similar to an ARP helmet, as it was metal with rubber on the inside which acted as a shock absorber.

Wooden Gas rattle. Designed to be used to signal that we were under attack from gas. The design of the rattle is very similar, to those which use to be used as football rattles.
