cm tall, with strap shaped leaves. The flower heads are only 5mm across (the ones here are slightly larger). It was introduced from North America and grows mainly on waste ground and railways. It usually flowers from August to October. Goldenrod was once much sought after as it was thought to have healing properties. Picture taken January 2006 near Stevington, Bedfordshire.
