untoothed and slightly downey on both sides. The 3 - 5 main leaf veins curve round towards the leaf apex. It produces many creamy white small flowers with four tiny sepals snd four petals and produces black globular fruits. This usually spring flowering young plant was flowering again in the sunny Autumn conditions. It grows in woods and on scrub. Picture taken October 2006 at Felmersham, Bedfordshire.
