Hardwick Old Hall near Chesterfield, Derbyshire. This house, now in ruins was built by 'Bess of Hardwick' (Elizabeth Countess of Shrewsbury) immediately before she built the even more splendid Hardwick Hall adjacent. See other images within this gallery.
