Reg:

“We played in the fields and visited the farm to see the animals. There [were]lots of cows and a big bull. [We] rode in a farm cart and bathed in the River Lea. There was a lot more wildlife in the river in those days [...] you could always see kingfishers and at night lots of bats flying around. Many crayfish could be found in the river at Mill Green.â€
