Semi-evergreen shrub with long dark green leaves in opposite pairs (Garden Private has more oval leaves). The flowers have white corollas with four lobes (4-5mm across)and two m
stamens projecting from the tube. The fruits are black shiny berries. It flowers June to July in hedgerows scrub and grasslands. Picture taken 29th June 2006 at Stevington Bedfordshire.
