A herb with runners 30-90cm tall. It has branched stems, oblong hairy clasping grey/green leaves and clustered white flowers 5-6mm in dense racemes....

It is native to Southern Europe and was introduced to Britain around 1809. It is now common in SE England, on arable and waysides. Picture taken 17th March 2008 at Hinxworth, Hertfordshire.
