Bronze Age round house

The timber to make the hut was split using 'wedges'(angled pieces of wood)hammered into the trunk. The roof and wattle (woven sticks in the walling) is constructed of untreated native woods such as ash, oak and hazel. Picture taken on 6th August 2006 at Flag Fen, Cambridgeshire.
