Chilean Rose Brid-eating Spider (Grammostola cala)

This spider lives in the Chilean rainforest and desert. It eats lizards, insects, birds and small mammals. The female lays several hundred eggs in a silk bag, which she protects until they hatch at 8-10 weeks.
