Draft of a speech given by Clarkson in Ipswich September 1840. The Speech outlines what it means to be a slave and the treatment of slaves, prior to the development of a new society to cooperate with the London - British and Foreign Anti-Slavery Society to fight against slavery where ever it exists. The document demostrates Clarksons passions and principles about slavery. It is a very accessible & personal speech.
